Flanked
by hill ranges and forests on one side, and the Buggavagu Reservoir o0n
the other, During has many interesting remains which throw light on the
Kakatiya dynasty. Since this village is also famous for its stone sculpture,
the Government has started a training centre here.
This waterfalls,
near Thallapalle village, is where the Chandravanka stream falls 21
metres into a beautiful lagoon. This picturesque waterfall is also
a popular picnic spot.
Lam is famous for
its Agricultural Research Station, the Government livestock Farm and the
Chilli Research Station. An ancient toll stone is to be found here.
The
famous Lakshminarasimhaswamy Temple is situated on this hillock, which
looks like a reclining elephant when viewed from a distance.
Situated 24 km from
Nagarjunasagar dam, Nagarjunakonda has a famous museum on top of a
hill, right in the middle of the reservoir. This unique Island museum
is the firat of its kind in the world. In it are relics of Buddhist
Viharas, stupa, sacrificial altars and a Buddhist monastery, all of
them shifted here when the reservoir was built. There are also sculptures,
inscriptions and other objects of Roman origin to be found here.

Spread over 3560 sq km, this sanctuary is the largest tiger reserve
in India. The area is dissected by deep, winding gorges which cut through
the mallamalai hills. Dry scrub and mixed deciduous forest, moist valleys
of wildlife to be found here.
The Narendreswaraswamy temple here has a white marbel Sivalingam on
which the sun's rays fall directly at sunrise every Sankranthi day. The
temple is also famous for itshuge bronze image of Nataraja.
