Dharmapuri is a place of religious importance becausr of the Narasimhaswamy
shrine here. the Kalyanotsavam celebrated in February - March attracts
thousand of pilgrims.
A fort on a hill,
the Brindaban tank and shaking minarets are some of the historical
remains to be found here, where five important dynasties had ruled
in days past.
This picturesque
spot, surrounded by thick forest, is the confluence of the river Pranahita
and the river Godavari. The ancient temples here add to the sanctity
of the village.
Located on the bank
of the Godavari River near the Madhya Pradesh border, this small sanctuary
of undulating forest has a wide range of mammals and birdlife. the
nearest town is Manthani (5 km).
The famous Sri Raja
Rajeswara Temple draws pilgrims from all over the state during its
annual festivals. The waters of the temple tank, Dharmakundam, are
belived to possess curative properties.
