Warangal




The Boundaries of Warangal district are Khammam district, Nalgonda and Khammam districts, Nalgonda, Medak, Karimnagar districts and Karimnagar district in the East, South, West and North directions respectively. Earlier this district was called as Orugallu. This place was under the rule of Sathavahana, Yadhava, Chalukya and Kakatiya kings. The period of Kakatiya rule is termed as Golden Era.

Handicrafts are the another area where this district is proving to be fruitful. The water source of this district is Malleruvagu Project. Warangal and Kazipet are the twin cities. Kazipet is the major railway junction.
