Goa - General Information

Goa, one of the youngest States of the Indian Union, attained statehood after 451 years of colonial rule and 26 years as a Union Territory. It comprises 11 talukas with Panaji as the capital.

This small tropical paradise lies on the west coast of India. Cradled between the rugged ranges of the western Ghats and the Arabian sea, this sea - washed, sun - drenched konkan territory present a fusion of culture seldom found anywhere else in the world.
